The road to hell…

Posted: June 15, 2009 in Uncategorized

… they say, is paved with good intentions.

And I had such intentions for posting.

I went to Quebec city on Friday to spend Saturday with my mom. And I took pictures of my favourite tree in in the world. As well as a hideous house and other assorted stuff which I was going to upload as a Things I like about Quebec post. The pictures are still in my camera…

I came home early, Saturday evening, and as I sat on the balcony here in town on Sunday morning (Mr. Jazz was at the cottage, and good for him ’cause it was a glorious day), I thought, “Hey, I’ll go take a walk, take pictures and do a This is my ‘hood post”. And then I walked into the kitchen and the dutiful side of me took over and damned if I didn’t spend the day scrubbing soot off the cupboard doors. Which I had figured on doing as soon as we had finished repainting. Over a month ago.

Soon as I get to hell, I’ll take pictures and try to remember to post them.

they have a good wifi signal in hell from what i've heard

  2. geewits says:

I will sit and wait patiently with large sad eyes like a hungry dog for these future posts.

  3. Hagelrat says:

Yeah, but it's not the good intentions you an dI are going to hell for. 😉

  4. Jazz says:

Furball – As long as I can have my mac….Geewits – you're evil. You'll be in hell with me no doubt.Hagelrat – This, unfortunately (or fortunately) is true.

  5. Voyager says:

Aren't you the one who advised me to ignore domestic chores and blog instead?V.

  6. Warty Mammal says:

I will be waiting with bated breath to see what this road to hell looks like. I'm primarily interested in what it would be paved with. Asbestos, perhaps?

  7. Warty Mammal says:

By way, who maintains the road to hell? God? Satan? Is there an area in the middle, sort of a county line, where responsibility changes? A purgatory area? Are the citizens of hell taxed to pay for maintenance?Does the road go both ways, or is it one way?Maybe I should ask a Catholic. Catholics have all of that stuff figured out, and if they don't, somebody in the Vatican will read up on it and issue a policy.

  8. Warty Mammal says:

Ah. Turns out there's a patron saint of roadbuilders, Sebastian of Aparicio. I'll bet he could answer these questions if he hadn't been dead 400 years.

  9. Gaelyn says:

    I'll see ya' there.

  10. Jazz says:

Voyager – Awwww shaddap.Warty – YAY, you spell bated right. I hate hate hate when people write baited. And asbestos sounds right.Warty – Damn all these logistical questions. Maybe you should take over as maintenance director. I'm a pseudo (as in totally lapsed and thus going to hell) Catholic, and I can't help you at all with that.Warty – A patron saint of road builders. But then Catholics have patron saints for everything under the sun – and then some. Gaelyn – I'm gonna love the place, all my friends will be there.

  11. Suldog says:

Satan is a real bastard. He'll make your life miserable if you try to post photos of Hell. He's almost as bad as Disney.

  12. Beautiful photos … Oh, wait, am I missing something here?

  13. xup says:

A lot of really rockin' people are apparantly already in hell, so it sounds like a fun place. Compare this with all those who say they're going to heaven and I know where I'd rather be..well, okay, I'd rather not be in either place, but if I had to choose…

  14. Having spent some time in hell not long ago, I can't say I recommend it. We'll wait for the neighborhood photos.

  15. Pouty Lips says:

The granddaddy of all memes was really fun to read. It would take me a month to finish it, but you did a great job on it. I've never been to Quebec so I'm looking forward to the post.

  16. Jocelyn says:

This is the right time for me to announce I've never liked the dutiful side of you, right?
